BUNBURY CAMERA CLUB 21ST FORUM EXHIBITION AND PHOTO COMPETITION

The Bunbury Camera Club will be holding its 21st annual Exhibition and interclub Competition from Thursday 20th May to Saturday 22nd of May during shopping hours.

The exhibits will be of the work of the Bunbury, Busselton and Mandurah Clubs. The Competition topic is “Our South West’’ with the Exhibition being ‘’Open subject’’.

Shoppers are welcome to vote in the people’s choice awards.

Bunbury Camera Club meets monthly and its members will be interested in talking to anyone who shares an interest in photography and prospective members.

The Competition will be judged by Christian Fletcher a well known local landscape photographer of West Australia who has been taking photographs professionally for over 18 years. In that time he has had to evolve with every advance in technology and creative technique. He says it is such an exciting and challenging time to be in the industry. The advent of digital has revolutionised photography as an art form. It has also bought photography and image manipulation to the masses. Every second person now takes photographs and many are trying their hand at creating a living from their hobbies. Digital in some ways made it easier to be a “photographer”, but it still takes a certain level of skill and understanding to truly master the craft.

SW Photo trip

We had a great day and scenery to get around. The bus was full and many prize winning images were captured.

BreakOut at the Breakwater 2010

Breakout at the Breakwater 2010 Camera Electronic Sales and Service is excited to co-sponsor a full day of presentations geared to inspire your work and build your business. Some of Australia's most respected photographers will hold candid sessions to entice your creative side. We've also included sessions to help you market and grow your photography business.

The speakers include:

Tony Hewitt:

We're in for a treat with Tony. After a nearly 15-year absence from speaking in Perth, he will "Spill His Guts" to those lucky enough to attend The Breakout. With awards coming out of his ears - including two times WA Professional Photographer of the Year - Tony has reached the top in four key disciplines of photography: Wedding, Portrait, Landscape and Illustrative. An experienced judge and lecturer on the international circuit, he will reveal how a passion for photography combined with natural talent, creative flair and remarkable people skills have made him one of Australia´s most notable photographers.

Vittorio Natoli:

Vittorio founded Viva Life Photography in 1991 building it into an 11-store franchise in WA and Victoria, and he´s not done yet. In his own words, "Creativity wins awards, which are great to have, but you also have to get your commercial flow right to make enough money to keep running and winning." Possessing a rare combination of artisan and businessman, Vittorio is a force of energy focused on realising a commercial gain from his creative endeavours. At The Breakout, he will share ideas and strategies accumulated on his journey of excellence for a streamlined business that allows for more time behind the camera.

Peter Adams:

With an eclectic career encompassing writing, advertising, lecturing, filmmaking, and graphic design, Peter invariably returns to his first love, photography. Founder of Blue Mountain Photography Workshops in Katoomba, NSW, Peter reflects on a passion that started in the U.K. at the age of 11 and has guided him ever since. With multiple awards and exhibitions under his belt, Peter lends a lifetime of experience to his talk at The Breakout. He will share secrets and give insight into how he got some of his best shots and embarked on an international career supported by his photography.

Sarah Mitchell:

Practical advice about promoting your business is Sarah´s focus for The Breakout. Owner of Global Copywriting, she demystifies online marketing with lot of hints, tips and expertise gleaned from building her own business from scratch and with no budget. Sarah´s presentation includes what you need to do to get your website operating as an effective business and provides rich information on social media tools and search engine optimisation.
